See that? It's Virginia. Home of Fort Lee, where we will be stationed for the next couple of years. (http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/images/usa/virginia.jpg)
The exact timing of the big move has yet to be determined, but I can say with 99% surety that it will occur by the beginning of June. Likely sooner, but we'll see.
I've never moved 2, 170 miles before. It will be interesting.
So...bring on the adventure!

We're glad you're going to be on the east coast. It will be nice to live "by" you again! 2,170 miles IS a long way from home. Thank heavens for technology it definitely makes it a little easier.
Holy smokes . . . I spend my last 2 years of High School working out at Fort Lee . . . I went to Thomas Dale (in Chester, VA) and our home ward was Colonial Heights (a bit weird of a ward; but great people) - oh I hope you love it!!! I miss Home!!!! And be sure to get season tickets to Kings Dominion - it is a blast!!!
You will love VA!! yes, kings Dominion for sure. And you will love visiting Williamsburg! Glad you will at least be together as a whole family again soon! good luck on the move and brace yourself for some good ole east coast humidity!!!
Well, hooray for being together with your hubby, but BOO BOO BOO to moving 2,170 miles away from me.
What will I do?? I'm crying just thinking about it. :-(
Couldn't Lee be stationed at Fort Provo?!!
Oh, I'm glad your seperation is nearing an end, but sad you'll be so far away! So are you going to keep working out there, or do you get to stay at home & join the land of the living? And I'm sure Virginia is beautiful!
Thank goodness we have facebook and blogs to keep in touch!
Wow, Mel! This will be a big adventure! I'm glad that you'll be with Lee again. I hope that you'll have a good ward and that life will settle in to a new normal for your family.
I am sad that you will be so far away, though! And I feel so bad that we haven't gotten together more! Can you guys come over and play sometime soon? Call me!
How exciting!!! We have close friends that are near Norfolk and they rave about the area. They're from Rigby so they're kinda in your same situation with moving across the country. I think you'll LOVE it!!! We're really enjoying living in the east right now. I'm sure you'll be right at home!
How exciting and scary! but i'm glad you will get to be with Lee again...I'm sure your kids really need him around and miss him. It will be a new adventure for you guys!
Bah. You made me cry. I shall miss you.
